Courtroom Skills for Witnesses

The Pacifico Partnership has long been known for its courtroom skills training for witnesses. Our approach is popular, effective, and well received. Every force in the UK has, at some point, had training from us, and lots of forces are regular clients.

Some training organisations imagine that the best preparation for a witness is to be subjected to a humiliating training experience. This (so the idea goes) warns them off making mistakes in the witness box. We take an entirely different approach. We make the experience of going to court less daunting. We build the confidence of witnesses, not damage it.

We believe that in court you should do YOURSELF justice, as well as do justice in the wider investigation and trial process.

We work with police and other authorities such as; the National Crime Agency, Forensic Analytics, the National Health Service, the Medicine and Heath Regulatory Authority and others.

Anatomy of Giving Evidence

This is our flagship training experience for professional and expert witnesses for delivery to larger groups. Seen by every force in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Media rich and highly engaging. Topics clients like us to cover include:

Courtroom Confidence

For smaller groups, we can build into the sessions some coaching on communication, impact, influence and persuasion. These highly valued and transferable skills are acquired in a friendly, supportive and risk free environment with delegates participating in exercises. We review nerves, trust building, and other components of the Anatomy of Giving Evidence that clients may be interested in, but with a greater focus on participation and practice.

“The session was a particular highpoint of the Academy. Participants left the engaging session equipped with highly valued skills and an increased confidence in their ability to step into court as operational Police Officers”.
